Section 1
Purpose of this document
JB Management is required to identify every client before providing any services. This requirement is laid down by the EU directives on the prevention of money laundering and terrorist financing and by the national legislation of the country of incorporation. The identification procedure is mandatory for all clients without exception and cannot be waived at the client's request.
Section 2
Why it matters to you
Identification is not a bureaucratic formality. It ensures:
- that no third party can gain access to your account and funds
- that funds are returned to the very person who deposited them
- protection against your name being used for unlawful transactions
- the company's compliance with regulatory requirements, which is what makes the company itself sound.
Section 3
Required documents
Proof of identity, one of the following documents:
- Passport, the page showing your photograph and personal details;
- National identity card, both sides;
- Photo driving licence, both sides.
Document requirements: still valid, colour image, all four corners visible, details legible, no alterations.
Proof of residential address, one of the following documents issued within the last six months:
- utility bill — electricity, water, gas, landline telephone or internet;
- bank statement or credit card statement;
- certificate of residence issued by a local authority;
- tax notice; a duly registered residential tenancy agreement.
The document must show the client's full name, full address, date of issue and the name of the issuing organisation.
Mobile phone bills and screenshots from online banking are generally not accepted.
Proof of payment method.
- For a bank card
- An image showing the cardholder's name and the last four digits of the card number, with the remaining digits and the security code on the back covered.
- For a bank account
- A statement or account details showing the account holder's name and account number.
Proof of source of funds is requested in certain circumstances
- an income certificate or payslip is acceptable,
- a tax return,
- documents evidencing the sale of property,
- a statement confirming the origin of the funds,
- documents relating to an inheritance, dividends or the sale of a business.
Section 4
When source of funds is requested
Additional checks are carried out where necessary
Proof of source of funds is requested in certain circumstances
- where total deposits exceed EUR 100,000,
- where there is a discrepancy between the income declared at registration and the actual volume of transactions,
- where the client is a politically exposed person,
- where the client is resident in a higher-risk jurisdiction, and where the pattern of transactions is unusual.
This is a legal requirement, not an expression of distrust towards the client.
Section 5
Verification timeframe
Document review takes up to 2 business days from the moment the complete set is uploaded. If additional information needs to be requested, this period may be extended. The verification status is shown in the client area, and the client is notified of the outcome by email.
Section 6
Ongoing monitoring
The company's obligations are not limited to the initial check. JB Management monitors transactions on an ongoing basis and periodically updates client information. The company may request updated documents at any time during the term of the agreement, in particular when the client's details, payment details or the nature of transactions change.
Section 7
Sanctions screening
All clients are screened against the sanctions lists of the European Union, the United Nations and the US Office of Foreign Assets Control, as well as against lists of politically exposed persons. Screening is performed at registration and repeated regularly throughout the business relationship.
Section 8
Restrictions
JB Management does not open accounts or process transactions
- Where the client refuses to provide documents or provides false information,
- Anonymously or under a fictitious name,
- For persons on sanctions lists,
- For residents of jurisdictions where the company is not permitted to provide services,
- For persons under eighteen years of age,
- Or where funds are received from third parties.
Section 9
Third-party rule
JB Management accepts funds solely from payment instruments held in the name of the trading account holder and returns them to the same source.
Payments received from third parties are returned to the sender; the costs associated with the return may be deducted.
Section 10
Confidentiality of documents
Documents are stored securely with restricted access. Processing is carried out in accordance with the Privacy Policy. The retention period is at least five years after the end of the client relationship, as required by anti-money laundering legislation.
